When Charles E. Stanfield opened the Truro Woolen Mill in 1870, it was the first of its kind in the country. His sons carried on this pioneering spirit at the Truro location, creating the Shrink Proof method and creating more comfortable and durable clothing. The talented staff at this family run operation have helped Stanfield's become a household name across the country. Through it all, they've remained at the Truro facility and stayed true to the community. Currently at 1 Logan St. in Truro Nova Scotia, the plant is still producing it's top quality product the Stanfield's name has become known for.
